Infosys/Northwestern Mutual - Specialized Technical Analyst/Software Engineer
My predominant role at NM is a migration effort from legacy platform to a more modern one. This included converting SOAP to REST and implementing microservices. Projects I was responsible for include:
Writing Spring Batch applications running on cron logic that reads metadata from DB2 instances interfacing through IBM Content Manager (ICM) and writing it out to a file (csv). Using those files to create documents from that data and placing it into AWS, where it will then be read and
imported into Nuxeo (which stores into MongoDB in the backend).Triggers were written in ICM to track changes to records post import. The sync service, which through REST calls perform the corresponding operations (inserts/updates/deletes) in Nuxeo, was written to ensure the two platforms are in sync while business areas transition to new platform. A compare service was also written using Nuxeo APIs, querying ICM and Nuxeo to verify metadata congruency. Metadata parameters were mapped using JSON.
